Practice lessons: wheel throwing / hand building

You won't find these lessons in the reservation calendar because we arrange an individual date. The instructor will be there for you throughout the lesson, show you what can be improved and advise you on how to work more efficiently with clay and tools.

And if you've already mastered the basics and want to push your work further, the lessons let you develop more complex hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques, experiment with shapes and create more demanding ceramic pieces.

Fresh from a wheel throwing workshop, or self-taught, and want to keep improving with an instructor watching over you so you can ask about anything at any time? We can happily revisit whatever you need. In these sessions we'll practise throwing and trimming, try other shapes or drill whatever isn't working for you yet – and get you ready for the self-service studio, where you can create without instructors.

We'll focus on what you need to improve in hand building, go over other techniques and clay combinations if you like, and get you started in the self-service studio.
